मैनपाट कहां है, आईये जानते है क्यों कहते हैं 'छत्तीसगढ़ का शिमला'- MAINPAT kahan hai, aiye jante hai kyon kahate hain 'Chhattisgarh Ka Simla'

छत्तीसगढ़ के सरगुजा जिले में विंध्य पर्वतमाला पर समुद्रतल से लगभग 3781 फीट की ऊंचाई पर बसे मैनपाट(Mainpat) को  'छत्तीसगढ़ का शिमला ' (Chhattisgarh ka Shimla) कहा जाता है। 

प्राकृतिक सौंदर्य से भरपूर, समुद्र तल से ऊंचाई एवं मनोरम स्थल व शरद ऋतु में बर्फ़बारी शिमला का अनुभव कराती है। ठंड और बारिश के दिनों में मैनपाट का सौंदर्य अपने चरम पर होती है, इसकी खूबसूरती देखते ही बनती है। पहाड़ से निकलती टेढ़े-मेढे रास्ते और अलग-अलग पहाड़ियों से नीचे का वृहग दृश्य देखते ही बनता है।  ऊँची-ऊँची पहाड़ियाँ एवं चारों ओर से वनों से घिरा हुआ हरियाली, बहते झरने एवं नदियां लोगों को अपनी ओर खींच लेती है।  गर्मी के दिनों में भी ठंडी का मौसम होने के कारण सैलानियों का पसंदीदा स्थान होता है। मैनपाट(Mainpat) से ही रिहन्द और मांड नदी का उद्गम हुआ है। 

मैनपाट(Mainpat) कालीन और पामेलियन कुत्तों के लिए भी प्रसिद्ध है। साथ ही बाक्साइट की खदानें भी हैं, जहां से बालको (BALCO) के लिए बाक्साइट निकला जाता है। 

मैनपाट(Mainpat) का प्रमुख मनोरम स्थल/ View point - 

मैनपाट(Mainpat) का प्रमुख मनोरम स्थल निम्न है- 

बुद्ध मंदिर(Baudh Mandir) - 

वर्ष 1962 में तिब्बती शरणार्थियों को यहां बसाया गया था। यहां तिब्बती लोगों का जीवन एवं बौद्ध मंदिर आकर्षण का प्रमुख केंद्र है। इसलिए इसे 'छत्तीसगढ़ का तिब्बत'(Chhattisgarh ka Tibet)  भी कहा जाता है। 

सरभंजा जलप्रपात(Sarbhanja Jalprapat) - मांड नदी पर यह जलप्रपात है, इसे इको या टाइगर पॉइंट के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। प्राकृतिक सम्पदा से भरपूर यह एक दर्शनीय स्थल है। 

एलिफेंट पॉइंट (Elephant Point) - यह झरना जमदरहा नामक पहाड़ी नदी पर स्थित है। चारों ओर घनघोर जंगल के बीचोबीच यह झरना है,  जहां 12 महीनें पानी बहता रहता है। प्रकृति की यह अद्भुत दृश्य पर्यटकों को अपनी ओर आकर्षित कर लेती है। 

मेहता पॉइंट (Mehta Point)- प्रकृति की गोद में बसी इस जगह पर सूर्योदय एवं सूर्यास्त का समय काफी मनोहर होता है। यह अद्भुत नजारा सैलानियों को अपनी खींच लेती है। 

दलदली (Daldali)- प्रकृति की यह एक अनोखी जगह है जहां स्पंजी जमीन है, इस जगह को दलदली के नाम से जाना जाता  है। मैनपाट(Mainpat) पहुँचने वाले पर्यटकों को आप इस जगह पर उछाल-कूद करते देख सकते हैं।

मछली पॉइंट(Machali/Fish  Point)- प्राकृतिक सम्पदा से भरपूर यह एक दर्शनीय स्थल है। 

मैनपाट(Mainpat) कैसे पहुंचे (How to reach) -

मैनपाट(Mainpat) जिला अंबिकापुर/सरगुजा से 50 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर है। जिला अंबिकापुर से जाने के दो रास्ते हैं, पहला अंबिकापुर-सीतापुर रोड़ से होकर और दूसरा ग्राम दरिमा होते हुए। दरिमा एयरपोर्ट होकर जाने में मैनपाट(Mainpat) पहाड़ी का सफर पर्यटकों के लिए काफी रोमांचक है।

बाय एयर (By Air) - दरिमा हवाई अड्डा से नजदीक है।  

ट्रेन द्वारा  (By Train) - अंबिकापुर रेलवे स्टेशन करीब है, जहाँ से टैक्सी या बस से जा सकते हैं । 

सड़क द्वारा  (By Road) - अंबिकापुर बस अड्डा से  बस या टैक्सी से जा सकते हैं ।

Mainpat Hill Station -'Chhattisgarh ka Shimla' 

Mainpat, situated at an elevation of about 3781 feet above sea level on the Vindhya ranges in the Surguja district of Chhattisgarh, is called 'Chhattisgarh ka Shimla'.

Rich in natural beauty, elevation and panoramic location from sea level and snowfall in the autumn makes Shimla experience. In the days of cold and rain, the beauty of manpat is at its peak, its beauty is made only by seeing it. There are zigzag paths coming out of the mountain and different views from different hills. High hills and lush greenery surrounded by forests, flowing waterfalls and rivers draw people towards them. It is a favorite place for tourists due to the cold weather even in summer days. The river Rihand and Mand originated from Mainpat.

Mainpat is also famous for Carpets and Pamelyn dogs. There are also Bauxite mines from which bauxite is extracted for BALCO.

# Buddha Temple (Baudh Mandir) -

In the year 1962, Tibetan refugees were settled here. Here the life of the Tibetan people and the Buddhist temple is a major center of attraction. Therefore, it is also called 'Chhattisgarh ka Tibet'.

# Sarbhanja Jalprapat - It is a waterfall on the Mand river, also known as Eco or Tiger Point. Rich in natural wealth, it is a scenic spot.

# Elephant Point - This waterfall is situated on a mountain river called Jamdaraha. It is a waterfall in the middle of a dense forest, where water flows for 12 months. This amazing view of nature attracts tourists towards it.

# Mehta Point - Situated in the lap of nature, the time of Sunrise and Sunset at this place is quite beautiful. This amazing view attracts tourists.

# Daldali - This is a unique place of nature where there is spongy land, this place is known as Daldali. Tourists reaching Mainpat can see this place by jumping.

# Machali / Fish Point - It is a scenic spot, rich in natural wealth.

How to reach Mainpat -

Mainpat  is 50 km from district Ambikapur / Surguja. There are two routes to get from district Ambikapur, first through Ambikapur-Sitapur Road and second through village Darima. Traveling to Mainpat Hill via Darima Airport is quite exciting for tourists.

By Air - Mainpat is close to Darima Airport.

By Train  - Ambikapur railway station is close from where one can go by taxi or bus.

By Road - One can go by bus or taxi from Ambikapur bus stand.
